About Face includes over one hundred works of art, including paintings, drawings, monotypes, lithographs, drypoints, woodcuts, and various mixed media work. 85 pages, color illustrations.
Primarily known as a landscape painter, Wisconsin artist Jan Serr began as a figurative painter and has consistently returned to the human figure for inspiration and renewal. Her works include self-portraits and portraits of family, friends, and strangers. About Face | Jan Serr was published by UW-Milwaukee Peck School of the Arts and Caledonia Press in 2011 in conjunction with a one-person exhibition of Serr's figurative work. The publication illustrates four decades of paintings and prints with essays by Miriam Siedel and Lee Ann Garrison.
